How naive for President Aquino to ask the Tausugs in Sabah to 'go home' and give up/surrender. For centuries the Tausugs were locked in war with the Spain and never, never surrendered; in the 19th century they fought against the American imperialists and rather than surrender preferred death and massacre. Thus, hundreds of Tausugs in Jolo were routinely massacred by U.S. generals Wood and Pershing (whom we honor by naming a southern municipality and plazas after these 'honorable' men). If there's any word that would raise their blood pressure, it's the word 'surrender.' It just isn't in their dictionary. Pues honorable President a bit of caution and understanding.
